These solutions include:

B Care In-patient Mental Health Solution

Currently used to manage more than 40% of the in-patient beds in Ontario, the B Care In-patient Mental Health solution can be used on its own or in conjunction with a hospital’s existing electronic patient record system.  As a standalone system, the B Care In-patient Mental Health solution offers a complete case management and scheduling system as well as a comprehensive electronic patient record.  When used in conjunction with other systems, the B Care In-patient Mental solution supports the collection of data for the Ontario Mental Health Reporting System (OMHRS).

B Care Community Mental Health Solution

Designed specifically for organizations providing community mental services, the B Care Community Mental Health solution provides the tools needed to collect and report data required for the Common Data Set for Mental Health (CDS-MH) and the Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN) and accommodates the Ontario Integrated Assessment Record (IAR).   In addition, the B Care Community Mental Health solution offers sophisticated case management features including integrated progress notes for those organizations that do not have any sort of electronic client record.

B Care’s sophisticated electronic forms and reporting features make it an ideal platform to address the mandated assessment and reporting requirements for the continuing care sector.  The B Care Continuing Care solution supports the collection and submision of data to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) for the Continuing Care Reporting System (CCRS) and National Rehabilitation Reporting System (NRS) programs.

B Care Cardiac Outpatient Management Solution

While the typical hospital / clinical information system offers a good platform with which to digitize many healthcare processes, it frequently does not address the specific workflow and data handling needs of outpatient clinics and specialty units. A recent addition to the B Care health solutions family, the B Care Cardiac Outpatient Management solution captures, organizes, and presents relevant health information about patients receiving cardiac care on an outpatient basis.  In addition, the same solution handles many of the administrative tasks associated with booking patients and coordinating the availability of clinicians and the resources required to deliver outpatient cardiac care.

For those organizations seeking to automate an aspect of their operations not addressed by an existing B Care solution, B Sharp can create a customized B Care based solution.  These solutions offer many of the benefits of custom developed software at a lower cost as well as reduced development time and risk.  In addition, customers can rely on B Sharp for on-going support and software upgrades.

B Care Features

B Care supports a rich feature set that can be used in various combinations to create solutions specific to particular segments of the continuum of care.  Key features include:

Registration/Admission-Discharge-Transfer (ADT)

From the moment an individual enters a healthcare organization, B Care ADT means up-to-the-minute tracking and management of all client activities. Understanding these movements and the composition of the client population facilitates the case management process, utilization and productivity.

Built on the Enterprise Master Person Index (EMPI) for a fully integrated system, B Care ADT is easily synchronized through HL7 messaging with other healthcare systems and client registries. Up-to-the-minute key client demographic and other healthcare or health-related information is readily accessible through B Care ADT.

B Care Provides:

  • Seamless integration: ADT can be seamlessly integrated with existing systems and/or client registries to facilitate a smooth registration process and provide quality data to all users.
  • Real-time tracking: Easy-to-use tracking and management of all client activities, contacts, and wait lists.
  • Robust reporting and analysis: Healthcare organizations can choose from a full spectrum of reports and filters to analyze data and conduct benchmarking and trend analysis in real-time.
  • Data Integrity: Audit and decision support tools promote accountability and enhance the integrity of the data within the system and provide for quality data collection.

Whether you are looking for a solution to service a healthcare organization with one or multiple sites or looking to service many facilities across multiple sites, the foundation of all B Care applications is the Enterprise Master Person Index (EMPI). The EMPI acts as a central repository of key client data including demographic, financial, caregivers, substitute decision makers and employment details to name a few.

B Care's EMPI is built to facilitate integration with provincial and national registries so that client files can be authenticated and updated real-time. All client history is stored which promotes data integrity and accommodates the tracking of client activity.

Assessments and Reporting

Data can only be useful when it is recorded accurately. In a clinical environment, the data collection process has to be straightforward and simple to understand yet provide critical information during the assessment process.

B Care's E-Forms allow clinicians to focus on care while collecting valuable client data and information. Assessment and diagnosis can happen more quickly when and where it is needed. By having the right information in the clinician's hands, it means better client care and improved outcomes.

E-Forms is a complete documentation package providing customizable form design, client centric care planning and free form note documentation. E-Forms offers the ultimate in flexibility and clinical value by allowing a healthcare organization to add or customize a form to its multidisciplinary setting and populating a care plan in real-time as responses are documented.

E-Reports allows users to tap into the data collected to produce analysis and timely evidence-based reports on clients and the activities of a healthcare facility in general. E-Reports provides a set of standard reports as well as the ability to create customized reports. It can also be used for regulatory reporting requirements. E-Reports is licensed to comply with the data submission specifications of the appropriate healthcare agencies.
