Vijit Coomara (Founder)

Vijit founded B Sharp Technologies Inc. with Robert Lazar. Vijit leads all technology efforts within B Sharp including defining platform technologies for product development.

Vijit's extensive technical experience was gained through eight years at PC DOCS group International in Toronto as technical lead for GUI development. Vijit then became an independent consultant in the United States, where he worked on distribution and shipping systems at Motorola, procurement systems at AT&T, and lottery systems at Gtech Corporation.

Vijit holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Toronto.

Robert founded B Sharp with Vijit Coomara.  With a strong background in project management and technology Robert works closely with the company's project managers to define deliverable strategies and procedures, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.  Robert's responsibilities include Business Development, Marketing and the development of Business Partnerships.  Robert is an integral part of the business development team for new and key customer accounts. In this role, he assesses the technology needs of customers or potential customers and facilitates identification of practical solutions.

Prior to B Sharp, Robert worked as an independent IT consultant with Agora Food Merchants, a $6 billion Canadian grocery distributor and retailer.  Robert also worked in the financial services sector as an IT manager responsible for application development.  He began his career at PC DOCS International as a programmer/analyst, eventually moving to the role of project manager. Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

As the newest member of the B Sharp management team, Michael is responsible for driving overall revenue growth at B Sharp. His mandate includes managing the sales process and sales team, creating and managing marketing programs, defining new products and services, and identifying and developing new partnerships and sales channels.

As the founding executive at two Canadian Internet Service Providers and a founding board member of CA*net, Michael played an active role in the development of the Canadian Internet in the early 1990’s. In 2004, Michael joined the Branham Group and helped create Branham’s eHealth practice. Over the past several years he was the COO at a leading Canadian health information management software company and worked as an independent eHealth consultant.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Toronto. He is a recognized commentator on the health IT market with regular columns in Health Information Management & Communications Canada magazine and the on-line edition of Technology for Doctors as well as the primary author of the eHealth Musings blog (eHealthMusings.ca).
